12-11-2003, 2:10 PM Legacy Joined on 07-30-2005 Posts 2 Points Shoot Alright shooters why don,t we have a points system going , we have 14 SDAA registered clubs how about get something going in the lines of shooting 7 or 8 for the fourteen shoots the score is the points you use the more shoots you shoot the better. You can use say 7 of the best scores foir the end of the year. At the annual meeting have a awards banquet I think this would get more people shooting more shoots . If all the NFAA members got their magazine in the back on page 50 take a few momments and read through the article "SHOOT YOUR WAY ACROSS TEXAS" their is no reason we SD archers couldn't do this ???    Report

03-12-2006, 10:37 PM RED 69 Joined on 03-13-2006 WATERTOWN Posts 4 Re: Points Shoot Legacy, I think that is a great idea.  There is no reason why that the clubs cannot get together and to this.  This could also include any shop with a range that would be interested.  I just moved back to SD from Wisconsin and we had shoots like this all over.  I know there are more clubs ther, but there is still no reason this could not happen here.  You can also do more than one type of shooting or collect points from the different types of shoots and pool them into your score.  This way, a person can get credit for shooting more types of shoot and maybe some incentive for others to try a different shoot.   I will try to help toss this idea out to some other people.   RED LET'ER BUCK    Report
